Instructions:

For the walnut snails, mix butter, milk, flour, sugar, yeast and egg to a smooth yeast dough. Let dough rise until doubled in volume. Then knead well again by hand and roll out.

For the filling, melt butter and mix well with sugar and walnuts. Spread the nut mixture on the dough. Roll up the dough and cut away pieces of it about 3 cm thick.

Place the pieces on a baking sheet and flatten. Brush with milk and bake the walnut snails at 180 °C top-bottom heat for about 20 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

Sprinkle the walnut snails as desired with cinnamon sugar or even coat with a glaze.
