Instructions:

First prepare the dough. For this, mix flour and milk, add whole eggs and work into a smooth dough. Salt and season with a little pepper from the mill.

Scrape the dough into salted water with a spƤtzle strainer and boil for a few minutes. Lightly rinse the spaetzle and set aside briefly until the remaining water has drained off.

Peel and dice the onion. Fry lightly in clarified butter, wash and dry spinach leaves, cut into strips and add, press or dice garlic and add as well.

Cut ham into small pieces, add, mix lightly and pour on some whipped cream. Season with salt, nutmeg and ground pepper.

Add spaetzle, chopped cheese and mix well until cheese is melted.

If necessary, add a little more whipped cream.

Arrange the spaetzle and serve.

Preparation Tip:

The spaetzle are especially delicious as a vegetarian version, without ham.
