For the apple strudel, first preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Place a damp tea towel on top and spread the strudel sheets on it. Brush with the butter.

For the filling, melt the butter and toast the breadcrumbs in it until crispy. Sprinkle them on the strudel dough, leaving a space between them and the edge.

Peel the apples, remove the core and cut the flesh into thin slices. Place on top of the crumbs and sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and raisins.

Fold in the long side of the dough and roll up the strudel tightly. Brush with butter and bake the apple strudel according to package instructions.

Preparation Tip:

If you don't like raisins in apple strudel, you can just leave them out.
