A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Preheat the oven to the highest temperature.

Beat egg yolks until doubled in quantity. Fold in oil to make the batter thick. Sift flour over it and add rum or brandy. Beat everything briefly, but very heartily. Spread this amount on a very well greased baking sheet and bake at the strongest temperature for 5-8 min.
