For the oatmeal sticks, grate oatmeal slightly in a kitchen cutter. Lightly toast in a coated pan.

Cream butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg.

Sift flour with baking powder, add toasted oatmeal and mix into butter mixture. Let rest for a while.

Form evenly long sticks from the dough mixture and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Flatten slightly and sprinkle with cane sugar.

Bake the oatmeal sticks in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 10 minutes.
