For the marzipan apricot thalers, cut the dried apricots into small pieces, soak in apricot liqueur and let stand for 10 minutes.

Mix butter well with marzipan pieces, almonds, powdered sugar, salt and egg whites. Set aside some of the soaked apricots for garnish.

Add the rest of the apricots and flour to the dough. Form small balls from the dough and flatten the balls slightly with a spoon.
