For the apple-chocolate cake, peel and grate the apples and sprinkle with the lemon juice. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with the granulated sugar until stiff.
Melt the chocolate and let it cool slightly. Cream the butter with the powdered sugar and yolks. Add the melted chocolate and continue to beat until fluffy. Add the grated apples to the mixture.
Then sift flour and baking powder and add. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Spread the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 160 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Let the cake cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
