First, peel and finely chop the onion.

Sauté the finely chopped onions in hot fat. Stir in sugar, then add the sour beets and cover with soup.

Season with salt and caraway seeds and cook until the beets are soft. Add whipped cream.

Mix some flour with a little water and thicken the beets to the desired consistency.
