Put one nice strawberry per person on the side. Rinse the remaining strawberries, prepare them (e.g. hull them, remove woody parts and dirt) and halve or quarter them according to size. Mix two thirds of the berries with half of the sugar and the Grand Marnier. Arrange in dessert bowls and let sit for at least fifteen minutes.

Mash the rest of the strawberries with the remaining sugar and the juice of one lemon.

Before serving, whip the cream until stiff. Add to strawberry sauce form and blend just until cream is spread in streaks. Form over the marinated strawberries and garnish with the strawberries – halved – set aside.
