Instructions:

Beat eggs and water until creamy, pour in sugar by tablespoonfuls and stir until creamy. Gradually incorporate apple syrup (“Apfelkraut”), chocolate, spices, cocoa, flour mixed with baking powder and the whole almond kernels. Spread the dough evenly on a greased baking tray and bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 200 to 220 °C.

Frost with a mixture of powdered sugar, water and rum flavoring. While still warm, divide the cake into rectangular pieces and cool on the baking tray.

Tip: Always use aromatic spices to refine your dishes!
