A great cake recipe for any occasion:

For the batter, crumble cooking chocolate and melt in a hot water bath. Beat egg yolks, softened fat and sugar until creamy. Mix flour and baking powder and fold in together with melted breadcrumbs, almond kernels, chocolate, cocoa and cinnamon.

Whip egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Pour the dough into a cake springform pan with a diameter of 26 cm, greased only at the bottom. Place in the oven heated to 175 °C / 150 °C / gas mark 2 and bake for about 25 minutes.

For the filling, soak gelatine in cold water. Stir curd cheese and sea buckthorn syrup. Rinse the orange with hot water, rub dry and grate the peel. Stir orange peel and juice and sugar into the curd. Melt the squeezed gelatine in three tablespoons of hot water and stir into the curd cream. Chill.

Remove the stones from the dates and cut into cubes. When the cream begins to gel, fold in the whipped cream. Divide the cream in half and stir the dates into one half.

Cut the cooled cake layer in half and place the bottom layer on a cake plate. Place the springform ring around it and spread the date cream on the base. Place the second cake layer on top and spread the curd cream on top. Set in the refrigerator, preferably for one night.

For the glaze, stir together sea buckthorn syrup, wine and sugar. Fold in gelatin soaked and dissolved in cold water and pour over the cake. Become firm
