Instructions:

First mix flour, salt and egg together, then add the yeast. Add the lukewarm milk and always mix well until it is a nice dough.

Let the dough rise three times. After each time let rise, knead the dough again briefly and let rise again.

Knead the dough into smaller oblong pieces and prepare. Let it rest again for a short time.

Bring salted water to a boil. Add the small oblong dumplings (looks like a small loaf of bread) to the boiling water. Boil for 7 minutes. Turn the dumpling over in the pot. Cook for another 7 minutes. This way they will be nice and evenly cooked all over.

Remove the dumplings and then “cut” them with a twine into slices about 1 cm thick.

Preparation Tip:

The dumplings go especially well with juice meat or dishes with sauces.
