Pour the clean, dry blackberries alternately with the rock candy into a preserving jar. Add the vanilla pod, cut in half and lengthwise, and the vodka.
Close the jar tightly and shake the liqueur vigorously.
Place the jar in a sunny place and shake frequently.
After about a week, decant the blackberry liqueur into a well-cleaned bottle and seal tightly.
