For the blackberry jam, first select the berries, rinse, dry, clean and puree. Pass the puree through a sieve. Stir in half of the sugar.

Let the puree bubble up. Add remaining sugar and juice of one lemon. Heat again. Cook for 1 minute until bubbling. Pour blackberry jam into jars while still hot.

Preparation Tip:

For exceptional flavor, add herbs such as thyme, rosemary or mint to blackberry jam.
