For the banana-gooseberry jam, wash and clean gooseberries. Coarsely puree the fruit with a blender and place in a saucepan.

Slice the bananas and mix with the gooseberries. Mix the juice of the lemon into the fruit puree.

Add the jam sugar, mix and let it sit covered for about 2 -3 hours. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly, then pour hot into jars.

Turn the jars upside down for 5 minutes. The banana-gooseberry jam recipe is enough for 5 jars of about 300 g each.

Preparation Tip:

If you like, you can add 3-4 tbsp. banana liqueur to the banana-gooseberry jam at the end.
