A cake recipe for all foodies:
On the pasta board, prepare sugar, butter, flour, egg yolks (1) and the lemon zest to a smooth dough, roll out. Place on the buttered baking sheet and top with the egg yolks (2). Sprinkle with the almond-dusted sugar mixture.
Bake in a heated oven at 190 °C for 30 minutes until light yellow. Cut into pieces while still warm.
(*) Note from the operator: If desired, add a few peeled and chopped almond kernels to the almond-dusted sugar mixture.
