For the green spelt patties, boil the green spelt meal in water with salt, bay leaf and diced onion and allow to swell.
Stir occasionally, after 20-30 minutes remove the bay leaf and incorporate the vegetarian paste. Allow the mixture to cool.
Mix in the egg, breadcrumbs, wheat germ and the spices. Season well and form 8 small fritters. Fry them one by one in hot fat.
