For the pumpkin puree, peel and chop the pumpkin and spread on a baking tray. Pour a little water over it and bake at 170° until the pumpkin pieces are soft.
Put the pumpkin in a bowl and puree with a blender until very fine. Fill into very clean jars. In the refrigerator, the pumpkin puree will keep for about 1 week.

If you freeze the pumpkin puree filled in small jars, you will always have fresh pumpkin puree at hand. With this you can prepare desserts as well as savory dishes.
